<description>The Digitized Assets of the Graphic Collection of the Göttweig Abbey
Coones, Wendy; Grau, Oliver
The dataset catalogs the digitized material and image assets, which are&#13;
an outcome of a cooperative project for the digital development and indexing of&#13;
the Graphic Print Collection Göttweig, between the Göttweig Abbey and the&#13;
Danube University in 2002-2012.&#13;
Alongside the teaching and research activities at the Center for Image Science,&#13;
the cooperation also comprised the digitizing, digital indexing and creation of an&#13;
Image Database with the most art historically significant assets of the Göttweig&#13;
Abbey.&#13;
This publication of the “Digitized Assets of the Graphic Collection of the&#13;
Göttweig Abbey“ is an abridged version of the metadata available in the online&#13;
database version that includes the data fields: Inventor and Engraver with living&#13;
dates, Genre, Iconography, Etching Series, Title, Technique, Year, Dimensions,&#13;
Condition, Comments, Publisher, Publishing Location, Catalogue Name with&#13;
Number and Author. Below is a list of abbreviations used for the indexing of&#13;
Iconography and Genre metadata.

<title>Der Akademie</title>
<link>http://95.216.75.113:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/486</link>
<description>Der Akademie
Leclerc, Sebastien; Herz (Hertz), Johann Daniel
Dedicated to Louis XIV, this work by Leclerc (Le Clerc) does not represent one particular academy (despite its title), but rather is a compilation of the activities that took place at two different institutions: the Académie de Peinture et de Sculpture and the Académie des Sciences. The talented draughtsman and engraver was affiliated with both.&#13;
The drawing upon which the print is based is in the British Museum, London (1886-1-11-18).&#13;
The Verleger of the work was Johann Daniel Herz.
